FAQ
What do you think is most important when choosing a wedding photographer?
I believe you have to like the pictures you see, first and foremost. But almost as important, you should enjoy the person you are hiring. You are going to be spending the whole day with this person. Do you get along? Can you see yourself becoming friends with your photographer? I am friends with almost all my couples on Facebook and still talk to them regularly.
How many weddings do you book?
I only book 24 weddings per year, averaging 2 per month.
What kind of equipment do you use?
I use the Canon 5D Mark II digital camera and a variety of Canon lenses. I also carry backup equipment to every shoot.
How many pictures do you take and are they all in color or black and white?
I normally take between 500-1000 pictures during the course of the day. After editing, you will receive between 200-500 images. Every image on the disk will be in the original color it was shot in. I will also convert a number of images into black and white.
Do you use a second shooter or an assistant?
I do work with a wonderful assistant, who also second shoots for me throughout the day. I do not use her for every wedding, so please let me know if that is important to you.
How much time do you spend on each wedding?
Because I get my complete package to people within 2 weeks, I spend a lot of time on each wedding. After the obvious time spent at the event itself, time is spent uploading files, backing everything up to disk and external hard drives, completely editing every picture, printing orders, gallery uploading, customized slideshows and album production.
What about emergencies? Do you have a partner?
I have never missed a wedding in all the time I have been in business. Only serious illness/death would keep me from your special event. I am the only photographer and do not have any partners. However, I do have a number of photographers that I consider friends that I can call on in the event of an emergency.
Can we meet with you and how do we go about booking the date?
I would love to meet you and introduce myself in person. I am a people person and I love to make new friends. I normally meet with people right in my home, but would be up for meeting over coffee too. A 50% non-refundable retainer and signed contract will reserve your date. The remaining 50% is due 2 weeks before the wedding day.
Do you travel?
I love to travel and will go almost anywhere in the world! Anyone up for a wedding in Greece in 2011? Special discount for you :)
